Cookie Policy

Last updated September 17, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how OrbitLabX uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser local storage, when you use our website.

1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. Local storage is a similar browser technology that lets a website store small amounts of data on your device, without the data being sent to a server with every request the way cookies are. We use both terms in this policy because our current approach relies primarily on local storage, described below.

2. How We Use These Technologies

We keep our use of this kind of technology deliberately minimal. Today, OrbitLabX uses:

  • Strictly necessary storage - your session token, stored in your browser's local storage, keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Without this, you would need to log in again on every page.
  • Preference storage - small settings that remember your light/dark theme choice and your answer to the cookie banner, so the site looks the way you left it and we do not ask you the same question on every visit.
  • Analytics cookies - only if you accept them. We use Google Analytics to understand which parts of OrbitLabX people actually use, so we can improve them. These cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) record a randomly generated identifier for your browser, the pages you view, and the actions you take on them.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not share your data with advertising networks. Advertising and personalisation signals are switched off permanently in our Google Analytics configuration, not just until you decline.

3. Analytics and Your Consent

When you first visit OrbitLabX you will see a banner asking whether you accept analytics storage. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode: it stores nothing on your device and sends no identifier that could be used to recognise you, which means we see only anonymous, aggregate totals.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies described above and we are able to see how a visit progresses - for example, which features are used, where people get stuck, and which pages lead to sign-ups. If you are signed in, we also attach your account identifier so we can count people rather than devices. We never send your name, email address, username, or the content of anything you write - including your Vaino AI conversations - to Google Analytics.

Google acts as our data processor for this information and stores it on our behalf. You can read how Google handles it at policies.google.com/privacy.

Changing your mind. You can withdraw or give consent at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing takes effect immediately and is as easy as giving it.

4. Third-Party Content

Some pages may embed or link to third-party services (for example, travel booking partners). Those third parties may set their own cookies in accordance with their own cookie and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. OrbitLabX does not control third-party cookies.

5. Managing Local Storage and Cookies

You can clear your browser's local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of OrbitLabX and reset any saved preferences, but will not affect your account or data stored on our servers.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of these technologies evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
